§ Primer
IPOs, mergers, leadership changes, regulatory-milestone events.
Corporate-action markets are episodic: big IPOs (Stripe, SpaceX, OpenAI) generate a wave of "will X price at $Y by Z" markets, and leadership transitions at major public companies produce single-event spot questions. Polymarket leads on US corporate events; Kalshi lists CFTC-certified equivalents; Manifold carries a long tail of speculative M&A and CEO-departure markets.
Canonical outcomes are usually binary (event happens / doesn't by deadline) with the company name + event type in the title. The matcher has per-company discriminators for the largest corporate-event clusters so "Tesla S-1 2026" doesn't match "Tesla earnings beat Q4" spuriously.
Pitfalls: delisted markets when an IPO is pulled, SPAC vs traditional-listing distinctions, and mergers that resolve on announcement vs on closing. Storm surfaces the venue's stated resolution source and notes whether the market is still active.
